Also. No earpieces for either.

This babble head already suffers from tachylalia and agitophasia — stimulants are just what he needs to add a few extra RPMs to his mush mouth, putting the English language into a blender. I can’t wait. Make my day.

I can just imagine President Doofus shaking hands with no one and being his usual senile self. Trump will make mincemeat of him.

Adderall is the amphetamine of his handlers choice. But, to add to your suggestion, Glenn: I would like EVERY POTUS (once elected) to have to list EVERY med they are on, and comprehensive annual physicals, especially including the neuropsych eval. There is NO WAY Biden is NOT compromised mentally (as well as by the CCP, Ukraine, Qatar, Romania, et al.)

Trump already said that both he and Biden should be drug tested for the debate. He said that weeks ago. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xzD6R5lCJu8

I'll take "Things that will never happen" for $500, Alex.

Of course, you are right, Glenn. Biden's neurons are totally fueled by stimulants now. But knowing so should be enough for Trump to destroy him on stage. At his core, Biden is a mean grifter with low self-esteem. Even before his decline got to this point, he couldn't help aggrandize himself by making up stuff to compensate for his inadequacies. As his cognitive ability continues to decline, his brain will fall back upon its historical pathways for a response. All Trump needs to do is poke his ego and then step out of the way as Biden's ego defense goes all corn pop live and uncensored. It would be a historical meltdown, and the end of Biden.

Which is why I don't think these debates will happen, as Biden's handlers know this as well as I do. I think they're just buying time while they work on a non-Kamala Plan-B.

As I recall, it was Trump who cancelled the second debate in 2020. Trump will probably need to get permission from his parole officer to leave the State!

Trump had COVID at the time. That seems like a decent reason to me. Significantly, the third debate went as scheduled after Trump had recovered.

Trump did not get tested for Covid in the first debate, as the rules indicated was mandatory. Come to find out, he had Covid in the first debate. The commission allowed Trump to flout its own requirement that everyone entering the debate hall be tested for Covid. Trump, it turned out, had Covid during the debate and the second scheduled debate ended up being canceled as a result.

My comments regarding Trump being the most challenging Republican to defend is based on reality - real things or the real nature of things rather than imagined, invented, or theoretical ideas and not projection, which, is your opinion and your entitled to.

Still no citation for your sources, Maury.

You assert that "Trump did not get tested for Covid in the first debate, as the rules indicated was mandatory. Come to find out, he had Covid in the first debate." But your self-serving and unsupported contention that "come to find out" he had COVID seems contrary to your statement that he'd never been tested for it.

If he hadn't been tested, it's pretty hard to conclude that he had it. That's what the tests are for.

Yes, I'm entitled to my own opinion, as are you. But you aren't entitled to your own facts.

If your statement was accurate, I would agree. My interpretation is as follows - Trump, it turned out, had Covid during the first debate and the second scheduled debate ended up being canceled as a result. “He put everyone in that debate hall at risk and it was because the commission couldn't enforce its own rules,” the person familiar with the president's thinking said.

Glenn, Trump has to be the most challenging Republican you and your echo chamber has had to defend for President! It says something when so many of his former cabinet members find it not possible to endorse such a corrupt human being.

You haven't indicated what your source is for the quote. I'll note that the Wikipedia page on the 2020 debates does not support that quote. I'll also note that the Wikipedia page indicates that Trump sought MORE than three debates but Biden refused.

As for echo chambers and corruption, I sense a bit of projection.

I’ve long thought that it would be great if all politicians running for political office, especially at the federal level, undergo a similar background and vetting process that law enforcement officers undergo before getting hired and going to the academy. This would include:

Background investigation, including criminal check and credit history

Drug urinalysis test

Medical exam

MMPI psychological test with psychologist interview

Polygraph testing

BTW … did you know that elected members of Congress get the same kind of pro-rated federal retirement as do federal law enforcement officers, firefighters, and air traffic controllers? Because of the dangerous and/or extremely stressful nature of these federal civilian jobs, these workers get an accelerated and pro-rated retirement calculation.

Congresscritters decided to afford themselves the same retirement perks of federal public safety employees while doing none of the sacrificing that is involved with the work of say, a Border Patrol agent, federal prison officer, Forest Service firefighter, DEA agent, or an air traffic controller. Yet, these Congresscritters also are exempt from the background checks, drug urinalysis tests, psych evals, and lie detector tests. Pretty neat … for them, huh?

One last note … elected federal office holders also go through no background checks to get their national security clearances either. So while many elected politicians (past or present) like Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, Maxine Waters, Eric Swalwell, or Ilhan Omar could never pass a FBI background check for civil employment, they are all granted security clearances once they are elected and sworn in. The voters who elected these politicians are deemed to be the “background investigators” so to speak … for such elected politicians.

Fear the low information voters out there … g’day and Godspeed.

Two things Glenn.

Why is it so difficult to acknowledge how challenging it is to defend Trump as the presumptive nominee for President of the Republican Party? How about this, name a more difficult individual to defend as a presidential Republican nominee in modern US history?

Second, as far as sources, here you go..."October 15 U.S. presidential debate officially canceled after Trump balked" - https://www.reuters.com/article/idUSKBN26U2M5/.

Also, please acknowledge that Trump is the first President in modern US history not to concede he lost. You will find all concession speeches on YouTube but for some reason, I could not find one for Trump...Strange?

Your cite does not support your contention that Trump secretly had COVID at the first debate. It only says that the second was cancelled when he was tested and had it, and chose not to appear remotely (which is understandable -- after all, he was sick and had been hospitalized).

I assume you are aware of what your cite says and doesn't say. If so, then your offering of the cite to incorrectly support your assertion is in bad faith.

So noted. Bye.
