I'm asking this in complete seriousness. I was once a child in grade school, then middle school and finally High School. I never recall even once hearing of a boy asking for more boy hormones from an external source, nor a girl asking and receiving more female hormones(?). In addition, I've been a Father to 3 children (now full adults), and never once from any of the three did they ever desire more of the hormones they were born with. Furthermore, over all those years of school, of 3 children and then teenagers in High School did they ever share or gossip that "Johnny" was seeking or granted extra male hormones, the same with "Emily" seeking more female hormones. It makes no sense to me and lacks validity that the pro-child mutilation camp brings this up as you mention in your article.
Rob, I suspect that the reason you as a boy never asked for girls hormones was that you were unfairly deprived of someone telling you how cool that would be.
Fortunately, the Arc of history is finally bending toward more fairness, and more opposite sex hormones

I'm not so certain about young ladies, but, if a girl maybe didn't start her periods by 9th grade or so, she also may have been given some female hormones---usually estrogen, but also progesterone and provera. Again, kids would NOT have known this, but their family physicians may have discovered it. Like you, NOBODY I ever knew thought this way (late 1940s on up!) In fact, while we suspected that there were a few guys in our class "light in the sneakers," we liked that because it simply meant more girls for the rest of us!
Glenn: I almost INSTANTLY started to write that these hormones may, in fact be dangerous, and puberty blockers truly are. NO LONG TERM studies have ever been done on this, so you are correct, and I HOPE SCOTUS dumps this! Physicians who go along with this should be disbarred. However, the dept. surgery chair at Vanderbilt was caught on an open mic. stating that gender surgery was a "Cash Cow," so there is that. Sharyl Attkisson's book "Follow the Science" has lead me to disbelieve almost EVERY Peer Reviewed journal article anymore! Politics has infused what WAS to be a noble profession, and at the very least "First do no HARM!"

It will come as a shock felt round the world, that according to RFK, NOT ONE vaccine has been safety tested as required by law. The results of this (death, disability, Autism, etc.) are SLOWLY seeping out from under the covers (which were generously provided by big pharma). This brings me to the mass mutilation of innocent children. Leave it to the far Left (i.e., Democrats) and many of its ilk within the LGBTQ#!WTF? movement to adopt a medieval practice like FMG and then add their own supersized political steroids to this barbaric practice to now include boys and the removal of their sex organs, as well as the sterilization of both boys and girls in order to fulfill their twisted leftwing social utopian fantasies.
There is nothing progressive about the Left, Democrats, the LGBTQ#!WTF? movement and the rest of their breed. In fact what they see as “progressive” is in actuality regressive. Housing male prisoners (pretending to be female) in female prisons hearkens-back to medieval times when people (male and female) were just thrown into dungeons and left to fend for themselves.
