Readers: I’m in France wrapping up a hundred and some mile trek across the Central Massif of France, a wild and uninhabited area of ancient basalt flows cut by deep gorges and sprinkled with a few tiny villages.
My first time in China I was at a local, ma-and-pa shop and ordered shrimp because I didn't want de-boned goose feet... They were cooked whole and served with rice; their black eyes still 'haunt' me. They were delicious.
Happy walk Glenn! I tried the 100 mile Nijmegen march when I served in Germany and couldn't hack it; Army boots and my feet didn't mix. Great overall experience. Enjoy.
