I so hope the rest of the family will face some consequences

Yes. The “judgment of historians” is a pretty “iffy” and weak form of justice, in line with the saying that justice delayed is justice denied. And then historians don’t often don’t make a dent in the prevailing mythology. Joe McCarthy, for example, has been largely vindicated by historians such as M. Stanton Evans but lives on in the public’s imagination as a villainous figure. Ditto with Nixon. And look how recently Joe Biden has been heralded as the most selfless president since George Washington — the kind of B.S. that a few decades of progressive academia can turn into ironclad “fact.”

Doesn't Hunter still have a FARA violation indictment?

I wonder if ole Joe will just issue a blanket pardon for each and every member of his disgusting, ugly family (including himself). If so, it is what EVERY president should do for him/herself from now on right before leaving office which should shut the door on the SCOTUS ruling about "presidential immunity" forever amirite??? This bastard shall forever be known as the absolute worst pos to ever claim the office.

Again, great analysis! Thank you, Glenn!

And, we add, that we can only hope that this saga ends as your final paragraphs indicate.

It wouldn't surprise me that Hunter insisted on receiving and holding the signed pardon as predicate to this plea.

Joe and Hunter and many unnamed will appear before a judgement seat without an excuse or promise of pardon, unless both humble themselves, now, not then, and seek that pardon, not because they are not guilty but because Jesus Christ paid their penalty.

I really don't care all that much for how "history" judges any of the Biden crime family. I'm not going to be around long enough to enjoy that vindication. What I would like to see is a criminal investigation/prosecution of the "Don" of that family, viz., Joseph Robinette Biden himself, without whom none of the other Biden criminals would have had the opportunity to exploit the system for monetary gain. Biden's pattern of criminality was set early on, when he crafted an exemption from bankruptcy discharge of credit card debt, which specifically benefitted MBNA, which then promptly hired Hunter as legal counsel despite his having no qualifications other than being Joe's baby boy. The Burisma affair was only one among probably hundreds of "pay to play" schemes that benefitted one or more of the Biden clan members. The off shore accounts held by everyone in the family, including Joe's grandchildren (Navy Joan excepted, of course) no doubt held millions in kick-backs and not a penny of federal income tax has ever been paid on that income, nor has there been any serious investigation into those accounts, save for those in which Hunter had a direct interest. And recall that the DOJ allowed the statute of limitations to expire on charges related to millions of those dollars. If we lived in a perfect--or even merely a better--world, every single Biden, including Frau Professor Jill would be under investigation and every one of them would be going to prison. That might serve as a deterrent to such behavior in the future. And in case I might be accused of partisanship, I would dearly love to see a similar investigation into the affairs of Mitch McConnell, the Senator from China. But I shan't hold my breath awaiting such developments.

Hunter's sentencing should be postponed until February, 2025!

It's commonly thought that a pardon cannot be granted until after the defendant is convicted and sentenced. That's not so. A pardon can be granted even before the defendant is indicted. That's what Jerry Ford did in the Nixon case.

Isn’t it also just sheer audacity and irony that two of the Democrat Party’s biggest issues, taxes and gun control, were both completely violated and tossed into the political dumpster fire that is Hunter Biden?!? The hypocrisy here seems limitless!

Democrats always exhort everyone, especially the 1% (like the Biden crime family) to pay their “fair share” and thus raise taxes, make the tax code even more Byzantine, and then push through spending bills to hire tens of thousands of more IRS agents to hassle American taxpayers.

Then on top of this the Democrats are always hectoring and lecturing Americans about gun control … always seeking to throttle the 2nd Amendment and restrict law abiding Americans from constitutionally bearing arms in order to defend themselves and protect their homes and livelihoods.

Yet the Democrats and all their synchronized minions in the MSM and big tech have done nothing but downplay the Hunter Biden scandal, taxes, guns, and all … to point of even lying about the “laptop from hell” in that outright malicious statement put out by the 51 Deep State spooks some four years ago.

The hypocrisy and double standards of the Democreeps is just completely astounding.

Anyways … certainly Joe Biden already has a pardon drafted up and sitting in the Oval Office desk drawer just awaiting his signature to make it official.

After all why wouldn’t Joe Biden pardon the “smartest guy” he knows?!?

It is only a matter of time …

From day one, I said that Hunter was the epitome of an "untouchable".

He will certainly escape any consequences from the law. But he will never be able to escape himself. In less than 5 months, his daddies influence will be gone (if it isn't already) and the Democratic Party will have jettisoned his family like yesterday's garbage. The influence peddling racket that he's been running will be over. I hope he's got lots of cash stored up in some overseas account, because he won't be making anymore through Washington. Just as we know who and what he is, so does he, and the fun part of the ride is over. He now has to face the rest of his life, likely without the first class digs, travel and expensive prostitutes and drugs that has helped him get through it up to this point.

That's gotta feel dismal. I don't think he will be with us all that long.
