President Joe Biden continues to resist calls from Democrats to quit his flagging reelection bid, and continues to accede to prayers from Republicans not to.
“The DEI-infused Secret Service” — That’s the NICEST thing you could have said about it. Something’s rotten in the State of Denmark, currently in the hands of Uncle Claudius and his Deep State courtiers.
Agree: NO WAY IN HADES that ANYBODY can get that close from an elevated location. That was where a sniper team WOULD'VE been had anybody else been the subject of protection!
This "lapse" really needs to be looked into by the House! And just like the Demented Sock Puppet, the head of the USSS, (a DEI hire as Glenn noted), refuses to step down, even after the most horrible outcome possible under HER supervision.
Oh, boy, no one could have said it better. As far as taunting the Lord Almighty, Joe better stay in his basement. And I’m waiting to see if anyone nails Joe with the very thing he tried to pin on Trump about January 6.
The single biggest reason Joe isn't bowing out: there isn't anybody else that has the numbers against Trump. Newsom, Clinton and Harris know they'd get beaten badly - they're not eager to be thrown into that maw. If the stink of losing is going to happen anyway, let it happen to the guy who doesn't have any more campaigns in him. It would be one thing if the Dems had an all-star bench, like DeSantis or Haley or Cotton - or a dozen other names like the GOP has - but they don't. The bench wears remarkably thin when you're drafting for color, gender, sexual preference and Marxist orthodoxy. It's my preference that Biden get the thrashing he deserves this fall anyway.
Glenn, I PRAY you are not only correct as to POTUS election, but that the GOP takes more of the House and re-takes the Senate! I would happily sacrifice half of my retirement pay for that outcome!
Will do, Glenn! BUT, my PSU retirement, if I gave it ALL to you, would barely be noticed! I retired in 2006, and am too embarrassed to tell you what I earned, but suffice it to say, with an MS in my field, and in surgery research, I retired at well under what a starting teacher makes now, and WAY less than any good tradesman! Sad! But, I DID love my job, and as they say, I never really worked a day in my life!
Indeed--and I PRAY he used his newfound demeanor to really take charge of this election season. Stop the name calling, and simply point out the sock puppet's failures. The market jumped 700+ points today, and that may have been linked to Trump and Vance(?)
Do we know yet that the rifle was "high-powered"? It has been claimed to be an AR-15-style rifle. But we don't know (as far as I can tell) what calibre it was chambered in. And maybe it was an AR-10.
At any rate, a .223 would do the job. A .308 would be better.
And we don't know what kind of round he was using. I'm hardly an expert, but I recoil every time someone calls an ordinary AR-15 "high-powered."
Homer nods. You're right that most AR-15s aren't "high powered" in the sense of high velocity combined with large-mass bullets. (Destructive force is proportional to momentum, which is the product of velocity X mass. Bullet ballistics is a factor too, of course.)
Most AR-15s don't have the bullet momentum of the 30-06 that I lost in that fishing accident long ago.
Arguably, a AR-15 is "high powered" in the sense that the rapid semi-automatic fire they're capable of makes for a powerful fighting tool. But now I'm foxholing....
I miss the 30-30 lever action and the M-1 carbine I lost in that tragic mountain kayaking accident. And I think an AR-15 with fragmenting ammo is a decent home protection weapon.

Too bad for Newsom that an even heavier DEI component is likely to take over the Dem Party. He doesn't check nearly enough intersectionality boxes.

😂😂
I was very interested in Trump's demeanor last night.
He seems ... different. Remember when Gandalf the Grey came back as Gandalf the White? Trump seems more mature, more wise.
Did anyone else perceive a difference?
