What do you call it when foreigners enter our country illegally, refuse to leave, and attack our police, soldiers and public infrastructure while flying their foreign flag?
It's on the tip of my tongue . . .
If you’re the media, you call it a “mostly peaceful protest.” Normal people might call it an “insurrection.”
But “insurrection” is not quite right, either. “Insurrection” implies a violent revolt against the government by its own citizens, not violence by uninvited foreigners who refuse to leave.
I suppose you could call it a riot, but when its foreigners claiming ownership of the land, it’s a bit more than that.
So, the question remains: What do you call it when foreigners:
illegally enter the country,
refuse our requests that they leave,
assert ownership over the land,
attack our people, places and government,
under the colors of their foreign flag while burning the American flag, and
their foreign leaders urge them on?
This sort of thing has happened in history from time to time in many places, if I’m not mistaken. There must be a word for it. It’s on the tip of my tongue . . . .
Hint: The word is found in The Alien Enemies Act of 1798. So is the proper response to it.
I consider multiple bricks through moving cars attempted murder. When done by illegal foreign entities spanning across state lines, it most definitely becomes a lethal invasion which gives us the right to protect ourselves. If we don’t, we deserve what we get.
